Diana Casmiro's work is based on the principle that matter is never static or inert; rather, it is always permeated by an intimate energy, by a vital flow that passes through every terrestrial element, connecting stories, paths, destinies of objects and living beings in an indistinct fabric of existence.
From this perspective, Casmiro's creative approach does not envisage a direct and imposing intervention on the material. The artist rather prefers to act as a medium through which natural elements can express themselves, transform and reveal their intrinsic connections with events, historical changes and natural cataclysms. The effect that time has on them is mostly unknown.
Even in "The Footprints of Time", exposure to time and atmospheric variations becomes an integral part of the work: rain, wind, sun and cold collaborate in artistic creation. The objects used in the sculpture-installation undergo transformations that remain beyond human control and prediction, thus highlighting man's fragility and impotence in the face of the forces of nature.

Critical note by Edoardo Di Mauro - Deputy director of the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin
The term "abstraction" etymologically derives from the Latin with the meaning of "to take away from" or "to push away" and historically it is the stylistic fact that predominantly characterizes the twentieth century regarding the denial of any relationship with naturalistic elements and the comparison with forms obtained objectively from reality.
The premises of Abstractionism are found in Symbolism which proposed looking at the inner dimension rather than at the external world and in the proposals of Expressionism intent on corrupting and deforming natural reality.
Diana Casmiro proposes research in harmony with this trend which summarizes the very essence of the contemporary dimension, distant from the rigidity of the geometric grid and based instead on a biomorphism which relates it to the Informal season, symbolized by the detachment from the material dimension, for arrive at a spatialism imbued with energy and inner awareness, where the rhythm of a color with intense and evocative hues harmonises a ballet of pigments and colours, in which elements of minimal figuration sometimes insinuate themselves.

Criticism in aesthetic semiotics of the work "Cosmic Connections" by the art finalist Diana Casmiro
Casmiro's direct and instinctual expression seeks the unreflected and pre-categorical cosmic connections of the latency of internal chaos. For the artist, truth overcomes the isolation of consciousness and turns to the unconscious and synesthetic continuity of being to other beings and to the world, whose unifying expansion generates from the sidereal beat of a common and universal heart.
